hermanus-south africa-motion of the ocean
Hi! All the best for 2010. Make it Ayoba! For those in school hols are almost over but those of us privileged to attend university, there is still a few weeks left. I took this photo during a vacation in Vermont which is a sub-section of Hermanus in the Western Cape of South Africa.
Inspiration for this photo: I attended a workshop hosted by Peter Haarhoff from the Cape Photographic Company (http://www.capephoto.co.za) based on capturing movement in the ocean. I would definitely recommend his workshops.
Here is the result -
Thanks for having a look! And keep well.

dirt bikes-zone 7-28 Nov 2009
Saturday Chantelle and I visited Zone 7 off road biking park for the first time and it was excellent for photo oppertunities, definitely have to go back. Extreme sports like these are vary exciting to watch especially when you get up close. There are a few fast paced events during the dec holidays, go check it out. The photos below are mainly of three guys who at the end of our shoot entertained us and made some good photos by flying high through the air. On the yellow bikes where the twins Calvin and Damon Vlaanderen on bike nr 4 and 44 respectively and on bike nr 8 was Justin Tyler.
well thats it.

ladybug-liewenheersbesie-stellenbosch
Exams are finished and the holidays are here! Things where quite sedentary here I know but, now there is ample time to take hundreds of photos, so be sure to get back here for some cool photos of shoots I’m busy organising.
Some excellent news!! I just opened up the Weg (a Afrikaans travel/outdoor magazine) after eliska told me to have a look on page. 65, and saw something I am very excited about! They used a photo of mine I took just after I got my camera about a year ago. This one of the 10 first photos I ever took. It’s of a ladybug trapped amid moss like layer formed on the surface of a pool in the Stellenbosch botanical gardens. You can also see bubbles trapped under the moss which gives the photo another interesting angle.

Thanks for having a look at my blog! And good luck to those still busy with exams.
bo-kaap-cape town-st. george’s cathedral
Hi! These were taken on an outing with a friend and photography buddy of mine: Chantelle Grobbelaar. This was the first time that we ventured into the bo-kaap (Cape Town) and my first time ever in this area. My favorite was the old car which I found (belonging to Morné and maybe he’s little curly haired boy) in a side streets it still needs some work to be done but, when its finished its going to be a beauty. I definitely want to go back and do the bo-kaap again!. After bo-kaap we headed to St. George Cathedral. They had an open day for one and all with different kinds of labyrinths you could walk through. (Thank you to Ann for permission to shoot in and around the St. Georges Cathedral).
Thank you for viewing my work!, and don’t forget to comment.
(Any nice shoot I deas? Drop me a email or a comment)
