University of Stellenbosch Choir Ball | Formal @ L’Avenir
I had an awesome time photographing the US (University of Stellebosch) Choir formal this past Friday at the beautiful L’Avenir just outside Stellenbosch along the R44. In July of this year the US Choir made headlines at the Wolrd Choir Games in China. Here is a snippet from the choir’s site:
“the US Choir took part in the 6th World Choir Games in China and won the categories Contemporary Music as well as Mixed Choirs. The choir won the latter category with 95.75% – 8% more than the choir who came second and with the highest percentage of the whole competition.”

die matt black sessions: bob en sop
Ek dink hierdie is my eerste “potgooi” in afrikaans, ek is trots daarop. Ek is ‘n groot aanhanger van die Bob’s, soos Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson van the Band ens. So natuurlik was Bilton Wines se Matt Black Sessions net die plek om te wees. Die tema vir die aand: Bob en Sop met “covers” van die legendes se tunes, lekker en uniek!. Hul opdrag: speel enige liedjies van enige Bob (Marley, Dylan, Seger, Johnson, Geldoff, noem maar op). Die gehoor trek aan as hul gunsteling Bob (bv. Bob Mugabe, Bob the Builder, ens.). Daar sal ook ‘n uitstalling wees van kunswerke, plakkate en dies meer in dieselfde tema.

Inge’s 21st at Skilpadvlei
I’ve known Inge from high school and a few month back she asked me to photograph her “delayed” 21st party, here are some of the photos of the night.
Inge’s brother, Johan, works in Bloemfontein for the Volksblad – so she doesn’t see him very often.

Sarah’s 21st @ Olivello
Sarah held her 21st at Olivello on Marianne Wine Estate.
