About me

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog!

I am a 4th year student at the University of Stellenbosch studying for a BSc in Conservation Ecology. Going through the years at University you learn a lot, especially about yourself.  I have always been into some kind of expression, be it choir at primary school or music in a band during high school. And after picking up a camera I found expression once again by freezing moments in time – and I love it!

Being on campus 80% of the year I became a photographer for “die Kampus Burger”, the student side of die Burger, hot of the press every Thursday.

I have been blessed by being surrounded by a few excellent photographers. I learned a lot, and still do everyday, from these individuals. It is here where I realized that the most important aspect of my work (to me), other than producing the best images I possibly can, with the talent my God gave me, is to keep my feet on the ground and stay humble.
