today marks the end of this photo blog as my home on the internet. i thought it well to move to a more customizable space which allows me more freedom and better presentation of my work. this blog will not be deleted and will serve as archive of what i once did. all new happenings can now be found at :

Update: New Site to Come

I have been considering it for a while now and have decided to go over to WordPress.ORG from my current WordPress.COM blog in order to give me more flexibility in how my site looks and feels when used. So for the time being the domain www.pcbenade.co.za is not working as this is where the new site will be hosted in the NEAR future.

Petrus & Thelmé: Married!

I have been looking forward to Petrus & Thelmé’s wedding for more than a month. And how extremely gratifying it was! I was second shooter to Nikki Meyer and had so much fun working with her.  Some of the photos as you will see where taken in the Mystic Boer – a popular hang out for Stellenbosch students. The reception was held at the lovely and so picturesque Nooitgedacht Estate just outside Stellenbosch.  Petrus & Thelmé where naturals in front of the camera and made our work very enjoyable and fun! I am posting quite a few photos, hope you like them! Enjoy

inspiration

 it’s that time of year agian: exams.. thats why its been a bit quite around here. but do not worry next week this time its all over and I’ll have time to post some photos I REALLY want to share with you. and still to come in November there are Wedding(s) and Couple Shoot(s).. which I cannot wait to do!!

in the mean time here is a very cool video I stumbled apon a few days ago. its by Zack Arias and is a great inspiration for photographers I think.

Suzanne & Keith: Couple’s Session in Cape Town

It took a while (it sure felt like ages:)) for Suzanne and me to find a date we could go take some photos of the love and fun she shares with Keith We could get together on the 23rd and we headed to Cape Town. The rain held back a bit but the wind still made its presence felt. Note: wind = balloons all over the place! Here is a bit about Suzanne & Keith (in Suzanne’s own words):

“..my now husband and I used to work opposite each other in retail stores in a local shopping centre. We were introduced because my colleague was a mutual friend. Now because I had a retail account at his store I legitimately visited there to purchase items. Ask him and he’ll say I made excuses to see him but wouldnt you know when I was instore and he would follow me around to make sure an excellent customer service was received (even though this was only particular to me). And he always had an arb reason to come to my store (which was a jewellery store). Anyway, I think we both realised there was a mutual interest and the game of cat and mouse escalated into a first date at the cafe between our stores. Its been magic ever since and this was 6 years ago. ”
